Foundations

The Experience Studio

The Experience Studio is an interactive course comprising guest lectures and critiques by industry professionals. As an interior architecture major, you’ll conduct field observations and meet civic leaders. You’ll explore a chosen theme — such as Designing for 2040, Climate Change, Migration, and COVID Response. You’ll work with a mentor on a project of your own and you’ll observe and comment on the work of your peers.

The Experience Studio follows the 5 parts of design processes:

Part 1: Define the “problem”
Part 2: Innovate seeks new ways of approach
Part 3: Create using methods of prototyping and fabrication
Part 4: Communicate your design accurately for a variety of audiences
Part 5: Reflect and acknowledge, obtain feedback
