Boundaries are crucial in shaping our global environments and are undergoing significant changes due to climate change. With the world's population expected to reach 10 billion by 2050, it is imperative to reassess how boundaries are perceived and how they impact our fundamental needs. Various city zones are expanding their boundaries, neighborhoods are anticipating change, boundary terms for mixed-use buildings, urban centers, and sustainable codes are being adjusted, and current office buildings are being repurposed for housing to accommodate this population growth influence as to how we thrive by inclusivity, empathy, and diversity. In the Interior Architecture program, we will aggressively explore new approaches to create sustainable spaces for all, incorporating innovative methods for green spaces and biophilic practices. This will move us forward in our contemporary interiors and future visions for the built environment, reflecting our connectivity of experimental freedoms, equitable practices, expressions, choices, and spaces.
This paradigm shift reflects a bold new direction for the built environment, promoting human wellness, embracing fellow species and energy conservation, and grassroots activism. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the daring creativity and innovation in student projects.
