Planned Giving

Planned giving is a wonderful way to support Cornish over time. This group of donors ensures our long-term growth and stability.

Giving plans can be structured according to your needs and philanthropic intent. For example, you can make an outright gift of cash or securities, a pledge, a bequest in your will or you can choose a vehicle such as a charitable trust.

The Annual Fund, the gifts we live by

Annual Fund gifts are a vital resource in helping meet Cornish’s ongoing need for flexible, income to uphold our mission and support the needs of our students. 

Cornish Giving Week is a new crowdfunding campaign supporting the Annual Fund. 2020’s Giving Week is scheduled for February 24-March 1. Stay tuned for more details!

Annual Scholarships, the gifts that help our students thrive

Endowments, the gifts in perpetuity*

Gifts of endowed funds tie your wishes to the College’s needs. They enable you to put some of your wealth to work for a cause you believe in. Whatever your interest, there is an area at Cornish College of the Arts that will benefit through an endowment.

Cornish Advancement staff will work with you to establish fund guidelines. Endowed funds can be established and named with the amounts below. For more information on establishing an endowed fund, please contact Anne Derieux, by scrolling down to our Contact Form.

Endowed Funds may be designated to support existing activities at Cornish College of the arts such as academics, library collections, and student life projects. 

To start a new endowment fund, we require a minimum of $100,000.

Academic Restricted Funds, the gifts faculty love

Each academic department offers a restricted fund to help support specific needs. You can note the department of your choice on our secure online giving form, or you can contact us at Advancement by scrolling down to our Contact Form.

Corporate and Foundation Collaborations

Includes philanthropic giving opportunities (such as scholarships and capital improvements), employee and trustee recruitment, research alliances and continuing education. We identify partnership opportunities and makes introductions to faculty and leadership. Cornish College of the Arts depends on funding from corporations and foundations as it strives to fulfill its mission and commitment to excellence.

Cornish Student Emergency Fund

The Student Emergency Fund will support those who face immediate financial hardship due the COVID-19 crisis. If you can, please donate today to help a student in need.

Many of our students have to work to pay their basic bills, sometimes two or even three jobs. These jobs are often in the service industry, which has been particularly hard-hit by COVID related shutdowns.

All funds raised will be distributed directly to our most impacted students. Donations are secure and fully tax deductible.

Scholarship Luncheon

Held annually in January or February at the Cornish Playhouse, this beloved tradition brings together supporters of scholarships with student recipients in an intimate setting. The celebration also includes student performances.

This year our Scholarship Luncheon is February 7, 2020.
