Creating Fables With A Baby Grand

Cornish Playhouse resident artists Ruth Marie Tomlinson (faculty), Fritz Rodriguez (alumni), John David Tomlinson, and Tania Kupczak have been deconstructing, cataloguing, rebuilding, and constructing fables of a Sohmer & Co. Baby Grand piano. The deconstruction began in November of 2016 and will culminate over Memorial Day weekend with a closing reception on May 25.

Microsoft Innovative Educator Genevieve Tremblay

As Interim Chair of Creative Corridor, Genevieve Gaiser Tremblay has organized a number of special events and partnerships for the college. In August she was named a Microsoft Innovative Educator. Later in the fall, she worked on 9e2, bringing artist Geraldine Ondrizek’s exhibition, Origins of Biometric Data, to President's Gallery. Another recent collaboration is with the students of Julie Myers, the chair of Interior Architecture, and the Friday Harbor Laboratories, the University of Washington's marine science research and education center on San Juan Island.
