Jessica Christensen

she/her/hers

Jessica Christensen is a Pacific Northwest native that didn’t know what was in store for her in high school when she began working with her father’s oil paint collection. Her passion for both theater and painting led her to graduate from Cornish College of the Arts in 2013 with a BFA in Theatrical Scenic Design with an emphasis in Scenic Painting. In 2015 she became the Stage Properties and Scenic Paint Supervisor for Cornish’s Production Department. In 2017 she became the Scenic Charge Artist and Properties Manager for Book-It Repertory Theatre. She has been able to work on exciting projects such as American Junkie, My Antonia, and Howl’s Moving Castle. Through Book-It she has also had the opportunity to work with Seattle Shakespeare Company on Shakespeare in Love, Arms and the Man, and The Tempest. In her own words, “Painting is the act of taking the abstract thought of one person and transforming it into a shared reality that is accessible to everyone. What could be a more fulfilling job?”
