Climate change, equity, and utilization are my core ethos, informing my interest in the built environment and architectural design. I have supported this pursuit through a focus on subjects of Architectural Theory and History, Ecology, Materials, Energy, Historic Preservation and Building Retrofit, Landscape Architecture, Project and Construction Management, Public Policy and Law.
Through Master thesis work, I investigated the value of existing buildings and their material in mitigating future carbon emissions through utilization of digital twin technology and methods of measurement to inform the architectural design process.
My professional background includes leading instruction and management of large teams of design and engineering professionals in the production and development of public design, technology and construction projects for the US Navy, State of California, and City of West Sacramento.
