Guillaume Tourniaire

Guillaume Tourniaire is a director, dramaturg, and translator who has staged plays and operettas in Boston, San Diego, and Washington, DC. He has taught theater history and script analysis at the University of Washington and Catholic University and offered acting and audition workshops for singers at American University, Peabody Conservatory, and Gettysburg College. Tourniaire is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Washington’s School of Drama. His dissertation, Show Boat's 'Make Believe: Subversions of Stereotype and Sympathy as Liberalism, explores the manipulations of popular performance forms in musicals as a means of modeling inclusion and redefining full American citizenship.
