Revisit the Nutcracker

Cornish Preparatory Dance Presents a Trip Back to Performances from 2017, 2018, & 2019

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Cornish’s Preparatory Dance Company was unable to hold our annual Nutcracker performances this year. Not being able to offer our students the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker felt like a big loss to our dancer’s education, the community, as well as our Prep Dance program.

In order to maintain the spirit of the Nutcracker, we are offering a limited-time engagement to stream the last three years of Nutcracker performances for free and enjoy this holiday tradition together at home. Being able to offer this experience is our way of participating in the annual event while staying safe this season. We want to share the joyous traditions of music and dance while watching these memorable moments that make us feel whole again.

Each year, the Nutcracker performances raise money for our Prep Dance program through ticket and flower sales, that go into our need-based scholarship fund for our dancers. As you can imagine, the COVID-19 pandemic has made this a very difficult year for our Prep Dance program and Cornish College as a whole. We’ve added an optional donation button on our streaming platform where viewers can donate to our need-based scholarship fund. Donations can also be made here. By streaming the performances we hope to recoup some of the loss in funds that will go to our students in need.

Performances will be available to stream for seven days after the launch date, dates provided below. Our program appreciates your support and invites you to join us this week to take in the sights and sounds of our annual tradition of performing the Nutcracker from the comfort of your home.
