Support Cornish: Postcard Series

This year at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University, students are expanding their creative practice across disciplines and into the broader community. From collaborative performances and exhibitions to hands-on studio innovation, they are gaining the skills and experience needed to thrive as working artists.

We are excited to introduce a new quarterly postcard series featuring student artwork to give supporters as glimpse into the creativity and talent of our students. The inaugural Spring 2026 postcard features work from third-year Art student, Dahyun Kim.

About the Artist: Dahyun Kim is a Seattle-based visual artist and a student at Cornish College of the Arts (Art, 2027). Working across painting, video, installation, and performance, his practice explores the experience of being an Asian American immigrant—examining language, identity, and cultural perspective. His work has been featured in festivals and installations. At Cornish, he is a recipient of the Syvilla Fort Scholarship, the Sherry Raisbeck Endowed Scholarship, and a Pilchuck Glass School Scholarship. Through an interdisciplinary approach, Dahyun uses storytelling and visual media to bridge cultural gaps and invite viewers into unfamiliar yet deeply human experiences.
