Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University’s Theater Department is proud to present our Spring 2026 musical Gypsy: A Musical Fable by Arthur Laurents. Gypsy tells the story of ambitious showbiz mother Rose, who treks across the country with her daughters Baby June and Louise in search of success with their homespun vaudeville act. As times change, Rose is forced to accept the demise of vaudeville and the rise of burlesque, as well as her daughters’ quest for autonomy.

Bea Williams (she/her) is a 2nd year Musical Theater major who’s excited to be performing in her first Cornish musical, Gypsy. You may remember her from Everybody in the fall, or the Musical Theater Showcase last spring. In the past she’s also performed as Miss Trunchbull in Matilda Jr., The White Witch in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Ethel Toffelmier in The Music Man. She’d like to thank her family and friends, as well as her faculty, for helping her learn and grow as a person and artist. She hopes you all enjoy the show!

Campbell Mace-Meador (she/her) is thrilled to welcome you to Gypsy! Previous Cornish credits include Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Ensemble), the 2025 New Works Projects 5×5: Elegy (Ani), The Lore Project, and New Voices – Musical Theatre Showcase. Campbell is beyond grateful for the mentors, family, and friends who have never stopped loving and believing in her. This is for you, Momma!

Carter Norton

Carter Norton (he/him) is very excited to be performing in his second main stage show at Cornish. You may have seen him previously in Dinner Party, the First Year Musical Theater Showcase, and this past fall in the ensemble of Sweeney Todd. He is super grateful for the support from his friends and family.

Darby O'Neill

Darby O’Neill (he/him) is excited and honored to take part in his final mainstage show at Cornish. Past credits include “Fun Home,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Chess,” “Amelie,” “Alice by Heart,” and most recently “Sweeney Todd.” This process has been full of research, exploration, and play- and Darby is overjoyed to invite the audience into this world everyone has worked so passionately to build. He is forever grateful to all of the teachers, friends, and family that have always trusted and supported him.

Dillon Rodriguez

Grayson Nendel

Weber, Cigar, Ensemble

Grayson Nendel (he/him) is a second year up-and-coming actor straight out from Spokane, Washington and is extremely exhilarated to be a part of Gypsy! When he’s not saying lines off a page on stage, he’s taking pictures of brick walls, cleaning his room, and being criticized for his artistic passions within the video game of Minecraft. He hopes you really enjoy the show and remember to drink water, no kings, free Gaza, and melt ice.

Hadley Nelson

Hadley Nelson is a fourth-year Musical Theatre major from Dallas, Oregon. She’s recently been seen in Cornish’s productions of Sweeney Todd and The Winter’s Tale. Some of her favorite roles include Charlotte Dennon in the Pacific Conservatory Theatre’s production of Elf: The Musical, and Veronica Sawyer in Linfield University’s production of Heathers. She is delighted to share this story with the community.

Lillian Zerby is delighted and honored to join this production of Gypsy! Select previous credits include: Young Cosette in Les Miserables: School Edition (Village Theatre KIDSTAGE SummerStock), Annie in Annie, Jojo in Seussical the Musical, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Mal in Disney’s Descendants and Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka (Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre). Madelyn Bjorn

Madelyn Bjorn (she/her) is a fourth-year musical theatre major who has wanted to play Rose since she first heard “Rose’s Turn” in middle school. Recent projects include starring in mother of pearl written and directed by Ella Acciacca, Red Cross Nurse/Queen of Hearts in Alice by Heart(Johamy Morales), and U/S Amelie in Amelie(Rich Gray). I would like to give a special thanks to my parents for supporting me in my passions, Madison for always pushing me to exceed my potential, and to Sheila Daniels for this incredible opportunity. Maisie Marsh

Maisie Marsh (she/her) is thrilled to make her Cornish College of the Arts debut in Gypsy. Favorite previous roles include Jane Banks in Mary Poppins at The 5th Avenue Theatre, Oliver in Oliver! JR, and Charles Wallace in A Wrinkle in Time. She can’t pick a favorite between singing, dancing, and acting which is why she loves musicals. Offstage, Maisie enjoys reading and spending time with friends, family, her twin brother, and their two doodle dogs, and thanks her teachers and directors for their support.

Raleigh J. McQuaters (he/him) was raised in the Bays of California. He began traveling with the aid of his Mom, guidance of his Grandma, and faith in Christ to become a great film actor. In his spare time he sketches character ideas, hyper-fixates on random things, and snacks while watching The Shogun on Youtube.

Sam Deitch

Sam Deitch (he/him) This is Sam’s second time being in a production of Gypsy, and he’s ecstatic to be revisiting this incredible show. He was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai’i and has been doing theater for nearly a decade. Sam recently made his Cornish MainStage debut as Tobias in Sweeney Todd last Fall. He would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support and he hopes you enjoy the show!

Sheila Daniels

Director

Sheila Daniels is a multi-disciplinary theatre-maker based in Seattle. Prior shows at Cornish include A View from the Bridge, ONCE and Spring Awakening. Professional credits include: Seattle Rep (Indecent, Dancing at Lughnasa), ACT (The Aves (current) and The Wolves, Intiman (The Niceties, A Streetcar Named Desire, Crime & Punishment, Lysistrata), Strawberry Theatre Workshop (Breaking the Code, Lydia, The Bridge of San Luis Rey), Seattle Shakespeare Company (A Winter’s Tale, Pericles, Electra), Seattle Children’s Theatre (Jackie & Me) and many other wonderful companies. Nationally, she has worked in New Mexico, Ohio and NYC.  She is an Associate Professor at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle U, teaching  Directing, Acting and Devising, where her Students and her Colleagues inspire her daily.

Gisela Catalina

Assistant Director & Dramaturg

Gisela Catalina (she/they) is honored to complete her time at Cornish, assistant directing and dramaturging for Gypsy: A Musical Fable. Originally from the Bay Area, Gisela studied at UC Berkeley and PCPA (Pacific Conservatory Theatre) and worked as a teaching artist at Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre before transferring to Cornish. Recent credits include Sra. Costa in The River Bride, Paulina, Bear, and Time in The Winter’s Tale, and Vivian in Aloha, Say the Pretty Girls. Immense gratitude to the Cornish community for making this a magical place to create, grow, and develop our artistry. Artists Unite!

Frances Vonada

Frances Vonada (she/her) is thrilled to be working on her first show at Cornish College of the Arts. Previous credits include: Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812; Les Miserables: School Edition; Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Village Theatre); Jesus Christ Superstar; Pippin; Bare: A Pop Opera (Baldwin Wallace University). Shadou Mintrone

Choreographer

Shadou Mintrone (she/her) received her dance training from a tiny vaudeville school in southwest Florida. She graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in jazz dance. She currently performs, co-produces and costume designs for Can Can Culinary Cabaret. Credits: Spectrum Dance Theater, 5th Avenue Theater, Brian Sanders’ JUNK, Gunnar Montana Productions, BAM’s Dancemotion USA, Village Theater, and ArtsWest. She is thrilled to be working with the entire Gypsy team and bringing this magical show to life!

Miru De Peralta

Scenic Designer

Miru De Peralta (she/her) is the scenic designer for Gypsy and was also involved in the build of the show as a carpenter.  In the last four years, she was a designer and builder for many shows in both the theater and art department at Cornish. Previous shows include Lead Fabricating the Cut, Crush, Decay Sculpture at Ivey on Boren (2023), scenic co-designing for Chess at Skinner Theater (2024), and assistant technical directing Alice By Heart at the Cornish Playhouse (2025). Conrad Orkney

Costume Designer

Conrad Orkney (he/him) is a current Senior in Performance Production. He strives for innovation and enhancement of the story being told through visually expressive designs. Conrad’s accreditation at Cornish includes Alice By Heart (2025) as co-costume designer, and assistant costume designer on Amélie (2024) and Fun Home (2023). Marrying historic research with creative flair, Conrad always finds inspiration by asking: if this story has been told before, what can we do differently this time?

Ahren Buhmann

Ahren Buhmann (he/him) is a Lighting and Video designer based in Seattle. His previous shows include Twelfth Night with Seattle Shakespeare and ACT, Brigadoon, Jersey Boys, Beautiful with Village Theatre, Disney Descendants and Legally Blonde: The Musical with Village Kidstage, The Park, The Moors with Seattle Public Theater, Solaris and My Antonia with Book-It Repertory Theatre with Pony World, Every Five Minutes with WET, The Who’s TOMMY with Seattle G&S Society, White Noise, The Good Book, Angels In America and Out of Character with Berkeley Rep, and Carefree with NJPAC. Dominic CodyKramers

Lighting Designer

Dominic CodyKramers (he/him) is a Teaching Professor in his 18th year at Seattle University where he teaches, designs, and mentors in theatre sound and audio production. His professional work has been heard most recently at ACT/Union Arts Center (An Enemy of the People) and Seattle Shakespeare Company (Macbeth). He’s also designed locally for Seattle Rep, West of Lenin, upstart crow, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, and the Flying Karamazov Brothers. Dominic earned an MFA from California Institute of the Arts and a BA from UNC-Asheville, his hometown. He is a proud member of IATSE local USA829.

Maisy Wagner

Assistant Choreographer

Maisy Wagner (she/her) is so excited to be behind the table for Gypsy. She is so grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Shadou as well as choreograph some numbers of her own. Previously at CCA she has been a part of Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett) Mastergate (Butler) and Alice By Heart (Queen of Diamonds). She is currently a Junior pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. She would like to thank her Mom, Dad, Quincy, Will, MJ, Sophie, Tenille, and Maddie for their endless love and support. Enjoy the show!

Em Majewski

Burlesque Coach

Em Majewski (they/them) is a Seattle-based actor, director, and producer, with a BFA in Acting/Original Works from Cornish College of the Arts. Currently, Em is the Program Director for the PULSE of Union Arts Center, a free community third space for artists. In their free time, you’ll find them volunteering as a teaching artist with Freehold’s Engaged Theatre Program, or caring for their collection of houseplants!

Mollie Shafer

Properties Manager & Assistant Scenic Designer

Mollie Shafer (she/her) is a junior and a transfer student from Moorpark, California. She is excited to work on her first production at Seattle University with a lead position. Previous productions include Twelfth Night, Our Lady of the Tortilla, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Sweeney Todd as Scenic Designer and Master Carpenter at her last college. She has worked as an Assistant Stage Manager on many shows at Moorpark College as well. Mollie is also very grateful and excited to be Prop Manager, since it is her first time working on props and is eager to learn about this side of technical theater.





Brea Smith

Assistant Costume Designer

Brea Smith (she/her) is a third year Performance Production student with a focus in costume design. Gypsy is the first show she has assistant designed at Cornish. She previously worked as wardrobe and run-crew for Sweeney Todd and Alice by Heart. Look for her work next year assistant designing A New Brain in the fall, and costume designing Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 in the spring.

Maia Nelson

Assistant Costume Designer

Maia Nelson (she/her) Maia is a third year costume design student at Cornish. She is so excited to be working with such a skilled and talented team on such a special and fun show! Recently, she assistant designed for The River Bride in Fall 2025, and Cornish Dance Theater in Spring 2025. She is so proud of the work the costuming team has done and can’t wait to see the magic come to life onstage.

Salem Smelser (he/him) is a second-year Performance Production major, who is trying his hand at scenic and lighting opportunities. He is excited to be involved in this and future productions at Cornish.





Theodore Pigeon

Assistant Lighting Designer

Theodore Pigeon (he/him) has been practicing backstage tech and lighting as a student and professional for about five years now, but this is his first production at Cornish College of the Arts as a first year transfer student. He is thrilled to work with such a talented cast and crew on Gypsy as an Assistant Lighting Designer, and is looking forward to being involved with more projects in the future.





Kate Loble

Assistant Sound Designer

Kate Loble  is thrilled to be back at the Cornish Playhouse for another production. Recently in her theater journey she has worked in sound on Alice by Heart and Everybody at Cornish, and worked during the summer on a production of Mary Poppins in her hometown of Helena, Montana. Recently, she has been songwriting. She wants to thank her Community of friends and artists that inspire her every day.





Charlie Stuhlsatz

Assistant Properties Manager

Charlie Stuhlsatz (he/him) has worked on past Cornish productions; Alice By Heart (A2), Sweeney Todd (Dresser). As well as working building and painting sets in the Cornish scene shop for River Bride and A Winter’s Tale. He hopes to continue working in scenic and props.





Ashlyn Gallinger

Assistant Stage Manager

Ashlyn Gallinger (she/her) is thrilled to be working on her fourth show here at Cornish Collage of the Arts! She was previously the stage manager for “Sweeney Todd” and “The Winter’s Tale” as well as an assistant stage manager for “Amelie”. Before becoming a student here at Cornish, she frequently did productions at Shoreline Community College and has worked as a photographer at Walt Disney World. When she is not in rehearsal, Ashlyn loves to draw, paint and watch movies. She wants to thank her family for all their support!
