Welcome to Scream Church—an imaginative blend of artistry orchestrated by interdisciplinary artist CHARI. Blurring the lines between performance art, sonic innovation, and social commentary, Scream Church beckons attendees to embrace public screaming as both ritual and rebellion, dissecting societal norms, bodily autonomy, and the idea of space.

Under the guise of various personas, CHARI normalizes the act of screaming with a satirical twist, guiding participants through a tongue-in-cheek "Screaming 101" to refine their vocal outbursts. Imagine a choir of catharsis, where each scream contributes to an evolving sonic tapestry shaped by the unique acoustics of the venue. The Raisebeck Auditorium's Meyer Sound Constellation system promises a 1 of 1 soundscape, a collaborative composition offered for download post-event.

But that's not all. Attendees are encouraged to immortalize their screams in the digital scream bank, a virtual sanctuary where experiences are logged for posterity—whether shared proudly or anonymously. As a memento of their journey, each participant receives a special keepsake, a tangible reminder of their voyage through vocal expression.

Join us for an evening of liberation, laughter, and a touch of the absurd. At Scream Church, your voice isn't just heard—it's celebrated.
