Jessica Thurlow holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Michigan, an MA in English Literature from the University of Sussex, and a BA in English and Comparative Literature from Occidental College. She specializes in feminist and women’s history, as well as religious studies and social movements. Publications include “The ‘Great Offender’: feminists and the campaign for women's ordination” (Women’s History Review, 2014; V. 23 Issue: Feminism and Feminists after Suffrage) and a chapter in Pattinson and Ugolini, Fighting for Britain? Negotiating Identities in Britain during the Second World War (Peter Lang, 2015). Her teaching has covered a range of subjects including European History, 20th-Century U.S. History, Western Civilization, women’s history, the First World War, and 19th-century literature.
