Professor of Rhetoric and Composition | Writing Center Director
Amanda Hill is a writer, teacher, administrator, and scholar whose research and teaching focuses on the intersections of writing instruction, social justice pedagogies, digital media studies, and writing center theory. Prior to her work at Cornish College of the Arts, Hill studied and taught at Western Washington University, where she received the "Marjory Rivverun Award for Teaching Excellence." Currently, Amanda serves as the president of the Pacific Northwest Writing Center Association, the president of the Cornish Federation of Teachers, and the Co-Chair of the Cornish Writing Across the Curriculum Committee. Hill has presented scholarship and research at regional, national, and international conferences.
