Albert Rubio is a recent transplant from San Francisco, where he spent the past 5 years honing his craft and working as an actor, director, and teaching artist. His current passion project is an in-process anthology titled, Stories From My Youth. This anthology chronicles the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies affected by the AIDS Epidemic. Albert works with living survivors and chronicles their stories, eventually distilling them into 30 min solo pieces. Along with this work, Rubio's friend (psychiatrist Stefana Morgan) is conducting a psychological research study to determine the effects that this work has on a survivor's path towards healing from this global trauma.

As part of his work in the Office of Admissions, Albert travels around the country recruiting students at college fairs, high schools, and auditions.
