Anne Derieux Joins Cornish College of the Arts as Vice President of Institutional Advancement

Seattle, WA – Anne Derieux was named Vice President of Institutional Advancement for Cornish College of the Arts this month. Well-known in the Seattle arts scene, Derieux came here as a principal dancer for Pacific Northwest Ballet where she danced from 1992 to 2000. After leaving from PNB, she became the executive director of Evergreen City Ballet and, later, the executive director of Spectrum Dance Theater. Most recently she served as the director of advancement for the French American School of the Puget Sound.

“We are delighted to have Anne Derieux join Cornish College of the Arts,” said interim President Chris Kevorkian. “She brings to our campus her understanding of sustaining a career in the arts as well as her deep appreciation for the impact of education and her expertise in helping young people achieve their dreams.”

Born in Versailles, France, Derieux studied at the Conservatoire Nationale Superieure de Paris and was a principal soloist at Les Ballets de Monte Carlo prior to joining PNB.
