The Second All Music Department Convocation will take place from 12:15-12:55 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, in PONCHO Concert Hall. James Falcone, Music Department Chair, will present an essay entitled "What, Why, How" and music of black composers will be performed by Music Faculty: Dawn Clement and Johnaye Kendrick.
Chair Falcone shares the following foreshadowing from Mary Oliver:
"Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things."
