This class meets Wednesdays 4:00 – 5:00pm
Contemporary Modern 2 is a beginning / intermediate level class where students develop basic contemporary dance concepts through proper technique, and alignment. Some of the concepts learned are; use of torso, on balance off balance, floor work and inversions, move with weight and powerfully through space, and use of breath. As students progress through the levels longer choreographed phrases will be learned with emotional and textural nuances along with improvisation work.

Discipline Contemporary Modern Techniques
Leotard or T-shirt tight fitting (ballet class color or black), footless tights (black) or leggings (black), Socks (instructor discretion:black, skin tone, white)
Non-decorative leotards only (ie: no mesh, lace, holes/cutouts, zippers), no halter leotards, no logos, no rips or tears
Warmups: At the discretion of the instructor, students may wear leg warmers or form fitting sweaters during colder weather
