Character Animation For Motion Design

Class Description
In this course, you will take the first steps into adding character animation to your motion design repertoire. Successful motion design is more than what can be learned in tutorials. Being able to communicate your creative ideas, make decisions informed by design and animation theory, and set yourself up for effective revisions are essential to the motion designer. This class will tackle these topics with critiques, discussions of examples from the real world, and practical application of animation theory.
Theory isn’t everything though so we will cover rigging, expressions, walk cycles, specialty rigs, and more about how to get the most out of Adobe After Effects.
Students do not need prior knowledge of character animation or expressions but should know the basics of how to animate in After Effects.
