The BFA is the culmination of four years of imaginative innovation by graduating art seniors. The works presented in the exhibition ambitiously explore a breadth of media strategies in the pursuit of new art and new ideas. Featuring works that explore installation, painting, print, performance, photography, digital media, video, sculpture, and writing, the BFA exhibition launches the next generation of superlative talent. Look out world!

Cornish Design represents the best and the brightest thinkers and makers in the Northwest. Seniors are working in areas including print, video, interior architecture and UX design. This exhibition showcases the rich breadth and depth in vision of these innovative young talents demonstrated through the excellence of their craft.

Film furnishes the imagination of the next generation of visionary filmmakers. Students graduating from Film at Cornish have studied the history of cinema and can conceive, write, produce, direct, light and edit films that have shape and style. “It’s not where you take things from,” said Jean-Luc Godard, “it’s where you take them to."

Interior Architecture

Interior Architecture students represent the first graduating class of our new degree-granting pathway at Cornish. These young designers have honed their craft and dived deep to research to explore social and civic challenges they can address with their human centered process. IA Seniors are a growing cohort of artist-citizen-innovators who are eager to research, explore and develop a social and civic-minded practice.

Cornish College of the Arts' BFA Exhibition 2017 is made possible with the generous support of our sponsors.
