Claudette Evans has been practicing yoga since 1999, and currently teaches at The Yoga Tree, in the Seattle School District, and is a volunteer for the nonprofit organization Street Yoga. She has an extensive background in athletics, dance and theatre and was drawn to yoga’s integrative approach; emphasizing the connection between body, mind, and breath. Claudette is a graduate of the YogaWorks, Rainbow Kids and Street Yoga Teacher Training Programs, and credits her training with greatly enriching her own practice, and providing her the ability to create a safe, joyful and inviting space in which to guide students toward a rich experience that illuminates yoga’s many benefits. In addition to teaching yoga, Claudette is the Managing Partner of the Guiding Lights Network. She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s Musical Theatre Performance Program, and holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington.
