Summer at Cornish’s Art & Design program offers a rigorous pre-college program, and a number of exciting intensive studio experiences for students ages 15 to 18 who want to explore the visual arts in a professional art
You will hone your skills, learn new techniques from working artists, and meet other students passionate about the visual arts. With a variety of program offerings, Summer at Cornish provides the perfect platform to expand your knowledge, grow as an individual, develop strong portfolio pieces, potentially earn college credit, and get a real taste of college life. Our four week, pre-college program prepares you in a comprehensive and rigorous fashion for the real challenges of art school and college life, and students earn two college credits. The foundations series includes Foundations & Drawing and Portfolio Development and Art History.
Individual Studio Courses run from 1 to 4 pm and include electives such as photography, printmaking, sculpture, painting, graphic design and digital media. Cornish is proud to present a final exhibition of student artwork on Friday, August 1.
If tuition is paid in full by May 2, 2014, a 10% discount is available.

One Week Intensive Session
August 4 – August 8
Our one-week intensives are designed for the student who wants to dig deeper. These intensives are Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4 pm, with a one-hour break for lunch. Intensives provide 30 contact hours over five days with our stellar faculty. You will come to understand a particular medium with breadth and depth. These courses make a welcome week-long addendum to the pre-college program or may be taken on their own. Please note credit is not available for one-week intensives. All levels are welcome.
