Housing

“I absolutely loved dorm life. All the Program Assistants were amazing and had different personalities which allowed you to experience even more. They kept us busy and all the activities were fun. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

Summer at Cornish Art + Design student, 2011

Housing available for students ages 15-18.

Living at Cornish fosters community between artists, dancers, performers, and musicians from near and far.  Discover Seattle, make new friends, and grow as an artist by incorporating the live-in experience with your Summer at Cornish program.

For those students living in the residence halls, Cornish Housing and Residence Life Office strives to provide a safe and secure living environment that encourages the personal and artistic growth of all students. Residents have access to full-time live-in staff and each resident will be assigned a program assistant who performs a nightly check-in for all students. Program assistants are currently enrolled Cornish students who are trained in community building, problem solving, and emergency procedures. Housing students will have access to the college for two evenings per week of studio/rehearsal time to develop their work. Chaperoned activities such as guided tours of Seattle, gallery and museum visits, movie nights, and outings to local parks and beaches are also provided on evenings and weekends for students. Additional information regarding housing and the Summer at Cornish Housing Application is provided in the Housing Packet.

Cornish Housing is available to students ages 15 to 18.  To be eligible for housing, participants must be enrolled in a full course-load (Monday-Thursday 9 am-4 pm, Friday 9 am-noon). Our residence life building is located two blocks from our Main Campus Center, very close to the heart of downtown Seattle and the Space Needle. Individual rooms are double occupancy, have a private bath, and are much larger than typical residence hall rooms. The cost of living in the residence halls is $500/week per person. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
