Have you ever wanted to paint on the walls and floor? This is your chance! Neddy Award finalist, Julie Alpert, guides you through the creation of an ambitious site-specific installation in the Cornish Main Gallery.
You will learn to see the room as a three-dimensional canvas, make sketches that re-imagine a section of the gallery, and translate the sketches into large-scale environments. In addition to working with traditional art supplies, the class will shop at Goodwill for items that can be cut up, painted, draped, and altered. On the final Friday, students, parents, faculty and staff are invited to move through the completed installations.
