This comics intensive will cover everything you need to know to create your own minicomic and get it out in the world. 

We’ll discuss how to develop and organize your story, create engaging characters, and how to use book design and binding techniques to let your mini stand out on a shelf. 

We will survey alternative comics and discuss how to distribute your work once you’ve created it.

Eroyn Franklin

Eroyn is a Seattle-based artist working primarily in the medium of comics. She has created several minicomics and 2 graphic novels, Detained and Another Glorious Day at the Nothing Factory, which received support from The Xeric Foundation, 4Culture, Artist Trust, and Allied Arts Foundation. Detained was exhibited in a solo show at Gallery 4Culture; Eroyn has also shown her work at SOIL Gallery, Vignettes, and Bumbershoot where she has performed a cut-paper shadow play. Her work appears regularly in The Stranger and her minicomic Just Noise was listed in Best American Comics: The Notable Comics of 2013. She is the co-founder of Short Run, an annual small press festival which celebrates comics, zines, literature, art books, and animation.
