An introduction to the craft of improvisation using short, long and full length performance applications.
Advanced acting techniques will be included in every class including; viewpoints, for a better understanding of audience expectations/experiences, audition situations, physicality, mime, and how to keep your team engaged and working well together.
Each day, students will go through exercises that encourage open-minded readiness and the ability to “think on your toes.” We will practice many performance pieces that can be used both as learning tools and future presentations. Students will leave feeling prepared to do all types of improvisation performances and auditions.

Stephanie Lynn Merrow holds a Master’s degree in Acting and Dance and has been teaching drama and dance, directing and choreographing for all ages since 1997. Currently, Stephanie teaches, directs, and choreographs for Cornish College of the Arts Summer Program, Village Theatre, Mt. Si High School, Snoqualmie Middle School and Ignite! Dance and Yoga. Local credits include many roles with Unexpected Productions, Live Girls!, Macha Monkey, Jet City, Valley Center Stage and Northwest GOGA. Stephanie also works as a professional improviser for Effective Arts and leads the Ignite! Improv Troupe.
