All applicants must satisfy the following audition requirements according to his/her arts discipline. Please see specific audition information and directions by discipline below.

Dance

If auditions are required, you must audition before you can register for the course. A program coordinator will contact you once you have successfully auditioned to provide you with the password required to register for the course.

• Auditions at Cornish Auditions at Cornish will be available January 20, 2013 and March 24, 2013 at Kerry Hall. Check in occurs from 10 to 10:30 am, with the audition ballet class running from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. There is a $25 audition fee, and no pre-registration is required.
• Auditions by Mail Auditions may also be accepted by mail. Submit a 10 minute DVD, application, and $25 audition fee to Summer at Cornish Dance, 1000 Lenora Street, Seattle, WA 98121. Priority will be given to DVDs accepted by May 10, 2013. Auditions by DVD will be accepted until workshops meet maximum enrollment. DVD requirements are as follows:
  • Four exercises, one side only: plies/grand plies, battement degage, jetes, battement fondue, adagio exercise
  • Centre work, one side only: 32–count adagio, pirouette/pique turning combination, petite allegro, grand allegro

  Please email the program coordinator at summerdance@cornish.edu when you have submitted your audition materials. You will be contacted within one week notifying you of your acceptance status to the program. When you are accepted to the program, you’ll receive an email from the program coordinator with the password needed to register for the intensive.
  

Music

A music department administrator will contact you to arrange placement level after registration.
