Summer at Cornish’s Art & Design program offers a rigorous pre-college program and a number of exciting intensive studio experiences for students ages 14 to 18 who want to explore the visual arts in a professional art school setting.
You will hone your skills, learn new techniques from working artists and meet other students passionate about the visual arts. With a variety of program offerings, Summer at Cornish provides the perfect platform to expand your knowledge, grow as an individual, develop strong portfolio pieces, and get a real taste of college life. July 9 – August 3
Summer at Cornish is a four-week pre-college program to prepare you for a first-year art school experience. Enroll in Art and Design Foundations as well as choose two elective courses you would like to learn and explore in. Elective options include Comics, Life Drawing, Digital Photography, Introduction to Graphic Design and Beginning Object Design. Students enrolled in Art and Design Foundations are also automatically enrolled in Portfolio Development at no additional cost.
Portfolio Development can also be taken as a single course for those students solely interested in portfolio development.
At the conclusion of the program on August 3, 2018 students will present a final exhibition of their artwork.
