Fall Early Arrivals

Move in begins at 9 am on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. On that date, housing staff and many Cornish volunteers will be around to assist you. A student may occasionally need to move in prior to the established move in date. Early arrival is only available for residents with Cornish specific responsibilities or extenuating circumstances. Please know that submitting an application does not guarantee approval for early arrival. Additionally, early arrival incurs a nominal fee per night. Applications must be submitted by July 31, 2012 to be considered. To request additional information about early arrival, or an early arrival application, please contact Housing and Residence Life at housing@cornish.edu.

Winter Break

The residence halls close for the 2012 – 2013 winter break on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 12 pm, and residents must check out with their RA prior to departing. Belongings may remain in the room over break; students are encouraged to plan accordingly, taking important items (passport, insurance cards, medications, etc.) because access to the room is not available until the halls reopen for spring semester.

The residence halls reopen for residents on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 9 am, unless a student has applied and been approved for an early arrival exception. Early arrival applications will be available on compass fall semester.

Residents will receive additional information about the winter break closure via Cornish email, and signs posted throughout the halls. As always, residents may seek clarification from RAs.
