Why should I give to the Cornish Annual Fund?

"Cornish is a tremendous arts incubator. It fosters exceptional minds that influence creative conversations across the cultural landscape. When I consider how Cornish provides mutual context for so many artists in the communities I care about, it feels right to do what I can to help Cornish thrive."

- Nate Brown, MU '99

Does my gift really matter?

"To participate" means to "to take or have a part or share, as with others." As a Cornish alum, you share with many other wonderful artists the benefits of an extraordinary education.

Your participation at any level can make a big difference in helping current students – artists following in your footsteps – receive the same great education you had.

Last year, almost 75% of the Cornish alumni who participated in the Cornish Annual Fund made gifts between $5 and $100.

Why is alumni participation so important?

When you decide to "give back," you help make a Cornish education possible for the next generation of emerging artists. Your support is also essential in attracting other donors to Cornish, including charitable foundations who consider the percentage of alumni giving – not the amount – when evaluating our requests for support.

How is my gift used?

Your unrestricted gift to the Cornish Annual Fund provides essential support for our students, faculty, and programs in ways that tuition and fees alone simply cannot. Your gift helps:

45% Academic programs and materials
18% Faculty and staff support
14% Financial aid and scholarships
13% Student services
10% Facilities operations and maintenance

Please join your fellow alumni in making a gift to the Cornish Annual Fund today!
