Student Spotlight

Inspiration?

I make all kinds of art, from tribal ink to writing and creating piano pieces. Pieces that truly inspire me have a continuous theme but can be interpeted many ways.

Influences?

Since I could hold a pen to paper I've been creating things left and right. I knew I had to be involved in the arts because its interwoven in my soul. I am art.

Current Projects?

Currently I'm getting used to classes and keeping up with projects for classes. I am also working on developing more tribal ink pieces, as mine are traditional but also contain some flare.

Hometown/Seattle?

I'm from Tacoma, WA. Pretty much, the only difference is there aren't as many minorities here...yeah, and you thought Seattle was diverse! oh yeah and its slightly larger and doesn't smell.

Why Cornish?

I came here because even before I was a student here I was welcomed by staff. I have several friends here and the fun loving, down to earth attitude exudes from everyone at Cornish.

Cornish Experience?

Its been fantastic. I had a pretty rough start but I began to realize that the teachers and staff really care and if you are here, you belong here.

Hobbies?

I like to proofread my friends' papers. I like to type things and make really long "To Do" lists. All of these activities make me feel special and smart!

5 Year Plan?

Graduated and hopefully paying back my loans! Or maybe continuing in school somewhere to obtain my masters.

Creative Process:

Make a huge list and prioritze with stars! Sit down, have a lazy moment, then cram everything I have in my brain on paper until I can't think anymore and start talking like a zombie.
