Classes for Non-Degree Community Members
REGISTRATION
Non-degree seeking community members may begin registering for Fall 2010 at the Cornish College of the Arts Registration & Records Office on:
September 1, 2010 from 3pm to 5pm
The Registration and Records Office is on the 3rd floor of the Main Campus Center, 1000 Lenora Street. We’re open 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
SCHEDULE & GUIDELINES
Cornish College of the Arts offers a selection of our college level courses to Non-Degree seeking students on a “space available” basis.
Visit our Schedule of Classes to search for available options.
Community members may register for any class found in the Arts Elective section of the schedule on a space-available basis. To register for a class that notes it is open to non-majors “With Permission” or “By Audition,” community members must obtain written permission from the appropriate department prior to registration.
Non-Degree Student Guidelines
- The courses listed in the schedule marked Open to Non-Majors: Yes are open for enrollment on a space available basis. A list of all such classes can be found by selecting the Arts Elective option in the drop-down menu in the online Schedule of Classes.
- Courses marked Open to non-majors: With Permission require the Department Chair’s signature prior to registering.
- Courses marked Open to non-majors: By Audition require an audition and/or the Department Chair’s signature prior to registering.
- Non-Degree students may enroll for no more than 9 college credits per semester; however, there is no credit limit placed on courses taken as audit (no college credit awarded).
- A maximum of 16 college credits earned while a non-Degree student may be applied to a Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Music degree at Cornish.
- Classes scheduled for fewer than 15 weeks are subject to the same add/drop and tuition refund guidelines as classes scheduled to meet for the full term. Add/Drop and tuition refund guidelines can be found in the online Schedule of Classes.
- Students must be sixteen years of age or older to enroll in courses.
- Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration. No Financial Aid is available to Non-Degree students.
