Preparatory Dance

The Preparatory Dance program provides a learning environment for the student who is interested in receiving the finest in classical dance training whether or not they have aspirations for a professional career or they study dance for recreational enjoyment. Our faculty nurtures potential at every level of interest and ability.

We have a comprehensive program which is based in classical ballet training, and provides exposure to a variety of dance genres.  Our curriculum is based upon rigorous standards, infused with live music and is taught by an experienced and distinguished faculty.

Our faculty is committed to providing training that is somatic in approach, considerate of the students’ mental well being and provides an opportunity for the student to find their own voice within the discipline that is integral to the art form of dance.

In the Preparatory Dance Program it is a priority that the students experience the joy of movement and develop a lifelong appreciation for the art of dance. Classroom work and performance opportunities offered in the Preparatory Dance Program instill in the student focus, discipline, accountability, efficacy, and satisfaction through achievement.

Fall 2009 semester begins September 8.
Spring 2010 semester begins January 19.
