Roberta has been designing lighting and scenery in the Pacific Northwest area since 1987. Recent design work includes set and lighting design for Seattle’s Early Music Guild, presented at the Moore Theatre with director Arne Zaslove and director/ choreographer Donald Byrd, set design for Freehold’s touring production of Pericles, the lighting design for Ruddigore, presented at the Bagley Wright Theatre, and Chamber Cymbeline for the Seattle Shakespeare Company. Ms. Russell has contributed conceptual pieces for the inaugural years of “Northern Lights Northwest”, a city-wide lighting festival, with pieces to be realized at Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park and at St. James Cathedral. She holds an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Washington.
