Artist, writer and philanthropist, Thelma Lehmann is a prominent icon in Seattle’s arts scene and this year marks her 90th birthday. In celebration of her talents, Cornish College of the Arts will present an exhibition November 16th through December 16th that features works that span her lifetime as an artist. Thelma, who was an Art Critic for The Seattle Times in the sixties, published three books with her late husband Hans about the arts in Seattle including, Out of the Cultural Dustbin. She has made significant contributions to Cornish as well as Seattle’s most prominent arts organizations. Selected works will be available for purchase and proceeds will benefit the Thelma Lehmann Endowed Fund at Cornish.
