Summer at Cornish Registration Open!

From studio courses to performance workshops, from the vibrant Seattle cultural scene to the breathtaking natural splendor of the Puget Sound, Cornish College of the Arts is offering it in Summer at Cornish 2011.

Participants immerse themselves and become part of a creative community, meeting and working with other talented artists from diverse backgrounds.

The Emerging Artist Program provides young students with a perfect platform to expand their knowledge, grow as individuals, develop strong audition pieces, and get a taste of college life.

At Cornish, we believe that generative work is life–enhancing and sustaining and that learning is truly a lifelong endeavor. Our Lifelong Learning Program offers people of all ages and skills the opportunity to explore creativity in a dynamic and inspiring environment.

THEATER - New!
An exciting, three-week-long, intensive experience for students ages 15–18 who want to explore the performing arts in a professional art school setting.

Dates: July 18 – August 5

ART + DESIGN
An exciting, three–week–long, intensive studio experience for students ages 15–18 who want to explore the visual arts in a professional art school setting.

Session I, June 27 – July 15
Session II, July 18 – August 5

DANCE
A comprehensive summer dance experience, with classes offered at various skill levels, from beginners to professional dancers, for children age four through adults. Classes include classical ballet, pointe, modern, composition, musical theater, jazz, improvisation, Pilates and Spanish dance.

All dance classes are held at our historic Capitol Hill in Kerry Hall.

MUSIC
A program that affords students ages 12 – 19 the opportunity to study with the renowned Cornish music faculty and special guest artists in a series of week–long intensive workshops designed especially for the aspiring young musician.
Dates: June 27 - August 20, 2011.
All music classes are held at our historic Capitol Hill campus in Kerry Hall.

LIFELONG LEARNING (courses will be available on the website on March 15)
Intended for adults, our Lifelong Learning Program offers an exciting array of workshops and classes taught by leading figures in the compelling creative landscapes of Seattle, designed to encourage participants to re–tool, re–engage, and re–think.
