Photo Op: National Portfolio Day

Seattle, WA – National Portfolio Day draws hundreds of high school and community college students to Cornish College of the Arts in January. This year’s free event features representatives from more than 30 American and Canadian colleges who will review portfolios of aspiring artists, designers, and filmmakers.  Look for long lines outside Cornish’s Main Campus Center  (the corner of Terry and Lenora) on January 6 between 8 am and 10 am, as families and young artists wait for the doors to open for check-in.

Those interested in attending National Portfolio Day are recommended to bring up to twenty pieces of their best, most recent work. A portfolio can include finished pieces, work in progress, and sketchbooks. More information about the event can be found at cornish.edu.

This unique event allows high school students, parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and college transfer students to find out about more professional creative careers as well as the higher education programs best suited to a student’s interests.

For further details or  to arrange photography/filming of students during National Portfolio Day please contact Rosemary Jones, Director of Communications, rjones@cornish.edu or 206.726.5169
