The Cornish community mourns the sudden loss of Jon Gierlich last month. His quiet humility manifested in an absolute commitment to excellence in design, to rigor in teaching and learning and to a sweetness of being in the world. Jon loved this community and its students and demonstrated that love during his 22 years of service to our students. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 on the 7th floor of the Main Campus Center from 5 to 7 pm.
