Heather Dew Oaksen Wins Prestigious Grant

Longtime Art Department Faculty member Heather Dew Oaksen was awarded the prestigious Flintridge Foundation Grant for Visual Artists. The Flintridge Foundation Awards honor artists demonstrating exceptional artistic merit in Washington, Oregon and California who have been producing work with a distinctive voice for 20 years or more. Oaksen was one of five artists from Washington and Oregon to win the $25,000 grant. The other four winning artists from Washington State are Judy Cooke, Lauren Grossman, Michael Spafford, and Jamie Walker.
