Design faculty member Claudia Meyer-Newman was selected to present at Icograda Design Week at VCUQatar, an American university in Qatar. The conference, which occurs annually, will have the theme of mousharaka, or collaboration, and is scheduled for February 28 - March 5. Claudia’s presentation is titled “Collaborative Learning Communities: 360 degrees of relevance.” According to Claudia, “developing learning environments that support collaboration, shared authorship, collective rather than the individual voice, has the potential to foster design solutions that are meaningful and lasting.”
Claudia is a designer, creative director, fine art photographer, and educator, She has been an active member of the design and education community for the past 25 years. As Senior Designer / Creative Director for Methodologie/Seattle /USA, Claudia developed identity systems, marketing and investor communication materials for major corporations. She has received numerous awards, grants, and honors acknowledging her teaching and design.
