Cornish Celebrates An Evening of the Arts on November 5th

Cornish College of the Arts presents its annual event, Cornish Celebrates An Evening of the Arts on Sunday, November 5, 2006. This gala is designed to showcase the talent of Cornish faculty, alumni & students and to benefit the Cornish College of the Arts Scholarship Fund. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Cornish College of the Arts’ Jazz Program and to recognize this milestone, Cornish Celebrates an Evening of the Arts, will honor the inception of this program, its founder Jim Knapp and the program’s nationwide impact.

Special guests include internationally-acclaimed singer, composer and pianist Ann Hampton Callaway who concludes her artist-in-residence program at Cornish with her participation in this event. Other performers include Cornish faculty members Jim Knapp, Julian Priester, Dawn Clement, Chuck Deardorf, Denney Goodhew, Randy Halberstadt, Jon Hamar, Mark Ivester and David Peterson. Students include Jessica Andrews, Kelly Ash, Devin Bews, Daryl Bond, Andrew Boscardin, Michael Catts, Beth Dial, Brad Gibson, Mack Grout, Adam Harris, Ani Johnson, Adam Kessler, Patrick McKenna, Elsa Nilsson, Reshard Radford and Katrina Wible.

Jim Wilke, host of Jazz Northwest on KPLU 88.5 FM NPR will emcee the event.
