Scan what’s happening in the arts and you’re likely to find Cornish alums at the forefront. Here are just a few we’ve discovered recently.
Six Cornish grads are Pollens (photo, above), touted by The Stranger as “Seattle’s Top African Trance Choral Band.” Hanna Benn (MU ’09), Jeff Aaron Bryant (MU ’10), Adam Kozie (MU ’07), Whitney Lyman (MU ’09), Lena Simon (MU ’11) and Kelly Wyse (MU ’03) perform at Neumos on Tuesday, January 31 at 8. Tickets are available online.
Scenic designer Jason Simms (PP ‘ 05) will receive the USITT Rising Star Award on March 28. According to Live Design, the Rising Start Award “recognizes excellence and artistic achievement in the areas of scenic, lighting, sound, and projection design, or the convergence of these design disciplines.” Learn more here.
