Not only is Northwest New Works Festival at On The Boards a fantastic place to see original performances from talented artists, this year you’ll also see Cornish alumni doing what they do best.
Northwest New Works is an annual festival of the best experimental theater, music and dance from around the Pacific Northwest. Sixteen brand new performances are featured on two stages over two weekends, all under 20 minutes.
Cornish alumni participating in this year’s festival, June 10 through 19 include Jessica Jobaris (DA ’97), Haruko Nishimura (MU ’92-’93) and Jeppa Hall (TH ‘97-‘98).
Cornish alumni participating in this year’s festival, June 10 through 19:
Jessica Jobaris (DA ’97) - You’re the stuff that sets me free: Eight performers cope with crisis as they hilariously wrestle with the metaphysical and psycho-therepy.
Haruko Nishimura (MU ’92-’93) – Grandmother Mothra’s Mercurial Tale: A broken doll rises in this re-imagined fairytale combining dance and a live string quartet.
Jeppa Hall (TH ‘97-‘98) – FINGER Songbook: Old-fashioned murder ballads and death metal influence this psychedelic madrigal reinvention of story and sound.
