Design faculty Beanne Hull, Jenny Sapora, and Dan Shafer’s Color Theory classes painted more than 30 4-foot by 8-foot murals that were used at the Woodland Park Zoo’s annual Jungle Party benefit on July 13, 2012.
Students worked in pairs and selected one of five animals that the zoo was highlighting for the fundraiser, which had a theme of Borneo to Bali. In addition to the animals, textile patterns from Southeast Asia were integrated into the student’s designs.
Aileen O’Connell, the Fundraising Events Coordinator for the Woodland Park Zoo said, “I just wanted to say thank you again for the beautiful artwork at Jungle Party! It looked awesome in the tent, and the paintings fit so perfectly with the theme.”
