Cornish Connections to Two Timely Plays

Cornish alums and faculty are all over two timely plays in Seattle, 99 Layoffs at ACT and Foreclosure at New Century Theatre Company, both by Vincent Delaney.
99 Layoffs features Theater faculty member Aimee Bruneau on stage and set design by Performance Production alumna Montana Tippett.
The workshop production of Foreclosure is directed by Theater faculty member Makaela Pollock and stars Theater alums Peter Dylan O’Connor and MJ Sieber.
Commissioned and produced by Seattle’s Radial Theater Project at ACT, 99 Layoffs follows the misadventures of Orson and Louella, two wannabe artists and serial job seekers, as they navigate the wicked waters of our recession-battered labor market. The play runs through August 25 and tickets are available here.
Foreclosure, running September 20 through 23 at The Penthouse Theatre at UW, pits couple against couple in a taught, marital and sexual power struggle of the 40somethings; dreams disappear, jobs go bust and one unhappy realtor ruins everything in this drama set against today’s backdrop of financial, class and conjugal confusion. Tickets are available here.
