Film Festival Features Cornish Connections
Two films showcased at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) this year feature Cornish connections. We Go Way Back, a film by Lynn Shelton, is a locally produced independent film that stars Amber Hubert (BFA Theater '03) in the leading role. This film about an aspiring actress searching for herself, has recently won Grand Jury feature prizes for Best Narrative Feature Film and Best Cinematography at the Slamdance Film Festival.
In addition, Walking to Werner, a film which recently premiered in Toronto about director Linas Phillips' journey from Seattle to Los Angeles was produced by Dayna Hanson, a frequent Cornish Theater Department guest instructor.
For more information about each of these films, please see the SIFF website at www.seattlefilm.org.
