Pianist, and Dallas Symphony Assistant Conductor, Rei Hotoda presents a recital of contemporary Asian piano music.
Coinciding with this past year’s release of her first CD entitled Apparitions, Rei Hotoda presents a recital of compositions for solo piano by Asian and Asian-American composers entitled “Snatches of Conversations.”. From the earlier work of familiar names like Toro Takemitsu and Yuji Takahashi to more recent pieces by a younger generation of composers including Toshio Hosokawa, Vincent Ho, and Vivian Fung, Hotoda brings to light a wealth of seldom heard piano repertoire in her masterful performances.
