Site-Specific minEvent Performances
In Spring 2011, special site-specific performances of the Merce Cunningham minEvent, designed to suit the particular space in which it is presented, will appear around Seattle. Sites include the historic Paramount Theatre, ACT: A Contemporary Theatre, and Seattle Art Museum.
The Merce Cunningham minEvent is a dance of uninterrupted excerpts drawn from three Cunningham masterworks: Roaratorio (1983), Fabrications (1987), and Enter (1993) to music by John Cage performed by the Cornish Music Department’s Indeterminacy Ensemble under the direction of Music faculty Jarrad Powell.
