Come watch Cornish dance students and former Cunningham dancer Patricia Lent as they stage a minEvent by dance icon Merce Cunningham.

The Merce Cunningham minEvent 2010 – 2011 presents an uninterrupted sequence of excerpts drawn from three Cunningham masterworks: Roaratorio (1983), Fabrications (1987), and Enter (1993) to music by John Cage performed live by the Cornish Music Department’s Indeterminacy Ensemble under the direction of Music faculty Jarrad Powell. Patricia Lent will stage the performance during a three-week residency with Dance faculty Deborah Wolf acting as rehearsal director. Cornish Dance Theater will then perform the Merce Cunningham minEvent in the Cornish Main Gallery exhibit Cunningham in the Northwest and as part of the November 2010 Cornish Dance Theater Fall Concert with costumes by the Performance Production Department faculty and students.

During Spring 2011, additional site-specific performances of the Merce Cunningham minEvent will take place. Learn more.
