Throughout this course, students new to painting will be led through a simplified, step-by-step approach to building an accurate portrait, with emphasis on proportion, expression, anatomy, value, subtlety and color accuracy.  We will work with a limited color pallet, in order for students to understand the limitless range of neutrals possible from mixing very few colors.  Students will be working from a live model and a controlled light source for the entire class time.

Age Ranges: 15 years through adult
