Video Browsing Lists
The Video collection is kept in a locked storage room for added security and because of limited public shelving. To help you browse the collection, we are providing alphabetical title lists of the videos. These do not replace the full descriptions found in the library catalog.

Art dept. videos Documentaries on artists, art history, art theory, etc. Includes video art.
Dance dept. videos Dance performance videos. Documentaries on dancers, choreographers, dance companies, dance history and world dance. Includes the annual Cornish Dance concerts: Cornish Dance Theater Fall and Spring Concerts, Cornish Dance Theater New Moves, and Cornish Dance BFA Concert.
Design dept. videos A newer category -- still small. Covering various aspects of design, architecture, animation, etc. See also the Art Dept. videos for related titles.
Humanities and Sciences dept. videos Wide variety of H&S related subjects. Some of the feature films are also included in this section.
Music dept. videos Music documentaries focusing on music history, composers and musicians.. Performance videos of classical concerts, opera, jazz, world music, etc. For recordings of Cornish Music Dept. concerts see the CD collection.
Theater dept. videos Documentaries on directors, playwrights, actors, theater history. Also plays and film adaptations of plays. Some of the feature films are included in this section. For Theater Dept. productions see the link for "Cornish Theater Production videos" below.

Feature Films on video A list compiled from all the departments of Cinema; includes feature films, art films and foreign films.
Why are the videos organized by department? Historically, videos were filed according to the department that purchased them because the videos were mainly used by faculty only. There are limitations to this shelving system, but it would be too expensive to re-catalog and re-label everything at this point.
